WinVoice ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how our desktop application processes your information, including your interactions with third-party services like Google and Spotify.

2. Data We Process

To provide advanced assistant capabilities, WinVoice requests authorized access to your third-party accounts via OAuth. Specifically, we request:

  • Google Calendar (Read and Write): To verbally remind you of upcoming meetings and allow the assistant to create, schedule, or modify events on your behalf.
  • Gmail (Read and Write): To notify you of important unread emails, summarize them, and allow the assistant to draft or send emails on your behalf based on your voice commands.
  • Google Docs (Read and Write): To read, summarize, or modify your Google documents based on your requests.
  • Google Sheets (Read and Write): To query, analyze, or update data within your spreadsheets.
  • Google Tasks (Read and Write): To manage, read, and create tasks and to-do items.
  • Google Drive (Read-Only): To search for and locate your files and folders so the assistant can reference them.
  • Spotify (Playback Control & Reading): To read your current playback state, view playlists, and allow the assistant to play, pause, skip, or queue music upon your request.

3. How We Use Your Data (Strict Local Processing)

WinVoice is built on a privacy-first, local-processing architecture.

  • Your Google Calendar events, Gmail emails, and Spotify data are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party external cloud servers.
  • All data fetched from these APIs is processed strictly locally on your own machine.
  • Because WinVoice exclusively uses a custom-trained, local Large Language Model, all AI analysis, summarization, and data generation is processed entirely offline on your own local hardware.
  • We do not store, log, sell, or share your personal data, emails, or calendar events under any circumstances.

4. Data We Store (Cloud Sync) & Data Deletion

To provide a seamless experience across multiple devices, we securely store basic account and configuration data on our own servers. This is limited exclusively to:

  • Account Credentials: Your username and securely hashed password.
  • App Preferences: Your custom keyboard shortcuts and configuration settings.

This data is stored solely to allow you to log into your account and automatically synchronize your preferences when you switch PCs. This data is never sold, traded, or shared with any third parties.

Data Deletion: You may permanently delete your account and all associated cloud-synced data from our servers at any time either directly through the application settings or by contacting us. Upon request, your data is erased immediately and cannot be recovered.

5. Revoking Access

You retain full control over your data. You can completely revoke WinVoice's access to your Google account or Spotify account at any time by visiting the respective security settings of those platforms and removing WinVoice from your "Third-party apps with account access" list. Because we do not store your data remotely, revoking access instantly and permanently removes our capabilities to interact with your accounts.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
